SUMMER IN COPENHAGEN

Hi guys, long time no updates, reasons for school finals and such...

But its OFFICIAL....I will be staying in Europe for the summer. I did not want to announce until today, since I missed my flight back to the States this afternoon. It was a LONG decision whether to fly back to the States after 9 months in Europe or to stay for the summer before school resumes back in September.

The weather, the ambiance, the city and an internship at JDS Architects finally convinced me to stay in Copenhagen 3 months longer. My host family invited me to stay with them for the rest of the summer which is very kind of them, especially the kids wanting me to stay with them longer.

Well for now that is the major update of my life...

PROMISE that pictures and updates of the past month will be blogged about this week since A LOT has happend...

LEGOLAND

So this weekend was packed full of events. Friday night started off at Daisy's friend's birthday at his apartment and ended at the break of dawn Saturday morning at a nightclub. All I learned were that Danes can drink and they can afford $10 beers and $7 dollar shots. It was a fun night nonetheless.

Saturday started out late in the day. A visit to Norrebro district was a nice surprise, very ethnic compared to the city, but still charming with its parks and cafes. Lots of little Danish kids with their parents were out that day playing in one of the coolest playgrounds I have ever seen. Next we stumbled into the Norrebro cemetery where famous Danes are buried, one of which is Hans Christian Andersen's.

Sunday was Legoland. Lego was invented by a man in Billund, Denmark hence the first ever Legoland is located in Billund, approximatley 3 hour ride from Copenhagen. It was fun, lots of miniature replicas of famous Copenhagen sites such as Nyhavn and Amalienborg. The rides were fun even though they catered to mainly kids, however I claim that at least two of the rides are for adults because of the amount of energy needed to play one of them and the other for its hazardous and whiplash inducing movements. All in all Legoland Billund was worth the 6 hour commute.

MUST SAW A WARSAW

Heading to Poland anytime soon? Copenhagen's own concept label is setting up shop at CDG's guerrilla store in Warsaw this week, and if your anything like me, its a must stop STOP. Come on a 2 for 1 deal, you can't beat that...eh? As Mr. Schneier describes "think urban prepster studying abroad in Scandinavia".

UNDER THE WEATHER

I'm lying in bed at the moment, feeling under the weather...woke up with a throbbing headache and an aching body. It must have been my lack of judgment this week by not wearing enough layers since it seemed warm enough to go out with a thin coat, I thought wrong.

Looks like I won't be going out tonight...

ORGASMIC

I just peed in my S2A pants when I found out about CDG's latest collabo...talk about craziness and what this would mean once fall comes and thousands of waif-like hipsters will be camping overnight in Paris, London, New York and L.A.!!!!!

The sound of this makes me look forward when November rolls around besides starting school again.

BTW, why could I have not been in L.A. at the moment when god almighty himself, Monseuir "SLIMan", has been spotted around town? :(
